Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Doherty comes from an entertainment family. He and his sister Shannen Doherty (“Beverly Hills,” “90210,” and “Charmed”) both entered the entertainment industry at the same time and developed an impressive resume in TV, film, and stage.
Mr. Doherty moved to the corporate side of the business and helped run Irish Eyes Productions, the Doherty family production company. Upon leaving the family business and moving into the political arena, Mr. Doherty ultimately founded Wildhorse Consulting with more than 30 years’ experience in the political and legislative arenas.
Prior to forming Wildhorse Consulting in 2004, Mr. Doherty held positions with several California legislators, acting as advisor on political and policy matters, including principal consultant to Assemblyman Bob Margett and legislative director for Senator Maurice Johannessen. Mr. Doherty also has extensive experience in the political and governmental arenas and is a highly regarded lobbyist in Sacramento and Washington, D.C. working for the successful entitlement and completion of various clients and projects in California and the passage of significant legislation through the United States Congress.
Chief Operations Officer
Kirk Manton has over forty years of experience in the film, video, and live event production industry. Mr. Manton started out as a lighting, special effects, and pyro technician and eventually moved into managing people, equipment and facilities. His career in Southern California, from the early 80s to 2001, included companies such as Stage Lighting and Magic, The Disney Company, and Europa Lighting. Working through these companies, he was able to collect technician credits on hundreds of commercial, cooperate, and music videos; short and feature length films; and large live events. At Europa Lighting, along with the owner, he built and managed the only retail lighting and grip equipment and sound stage rental company in Orange County, California.
Since moving to West Texas in 2001, Kirk has extended his career experiences to include live event production management at the Panhandle's largest event facility, The Amarillo Civic Center (3 yrs) and one of the most technically advanced mega churches in America, Trinity Fellowship of Amarillo (15 yrs). Mr. Manton's life experiences have developed in him a rare mix of supreme technical competency, excellent organizational discipline, and outstanding people leadership skills. He has the know-how and breath of relational connections that make him an outstanding asset for Sharpened Iron Studios.
Chief Brand Officer
Mrs. Doherty is managing partner of Wildhorse Consulting in-house event planner and the firm’s social media expert. Her strategies consistently produce significantly higher views, likes, and shares for all Wildhorse clients in the wide spectrum of social media. Her background has given the skills needed to successfully plan and manage events of all sizes and directions from political to non-profit.
Chief Business Development Officer
Mr. Graham is a current business owner at Graham Brothers Jewelers. In addition, he is a financial specialist in growing businesses. He has a degree in International Finance from Texas Tech University, East China Normal University in Shanghai, Harvard Accounting Cohort program, and a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America.
He currently sits on the Board on the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce and The Gem Inc, a tech start-up company. His education in the film world started when he previously worked for IM Global, a film finance and distribution company in LA. Here he raised capital, evaluated market potential for projects, and sold film rights to 13 different countries. Some of the films he worked on include: “Judge Dredd,” “Expendables 3,” and “Broken Lizard’s Baby Makers.”
Mr. Willbanks is Co-Founder of Lumos Pictures, an Amarillo Texas based movie production company. As co-founder Micheal has been responsible for writing, directing, and editing many of the company’s productions. In addition to his work with Lumos, Micheal was associate-producer for the Amazon Prime series, “Vindication” where he teamed with Flyrock Media. Micheal’s experience in the entertainment industry as an independent producer uniquely positions him to help lead Sharpened Iron Studios’ production development team.
Micheal and his wife, Stephanie, along with their daughter, Raelynn, love to make movies together and continue to work towards not only creating quality content in the Texas Panhandle, but also in building the filmmaking community.
Mrs. Graham is an award-winning actress and owner of D. Graham Entertainment where she partners with business executives, professional actors, and cinematic productions developing film and television around the Texas Panhandle. Mrs. Graham is a graduate from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts with a degree in Film and Television Performance. After graduation, Devenie launched her production career by co-founding an off-Broadway theater company in New York City and continued to perform in multiple films developed by the New York Film Academy. Her knowledge in producing and management landed her in Los Angeles, CA as Bde Entertainments Creative Executive. During her time as the Creative Executive at Glendale Studios, Mrs. Graham successfully led project operations in pre-production, obtained dramatic and literary rights, and developed post-production proficiency. She also collaborated with Warner Bros. Studios and consulted with Creative Artists Agency on entertainment branding and talent.
Currently, Devenie Graham sits on the Board of Trustees at the Amarillo Museum of Arts (AMoA), and is the presiding 2020 AMoA Alliance President-Elect. In addition to her extensive production experience, she coaches several actors in SAG/AFTRA and non-union projects.
